Nutri~Complete® Concentrate for durable development
Additional to the Nutri~Complete® end-product, SMP Food Supplements has
also developed Nutri~Complete® Concentrate for
durable development. This is a semi-manufactured product to which local
ingredients have to be added in order to get the complete end-product. The
necessary ingredients are Maize and Sugar, from which a lot is available,
especially in areas such as South-America. But the
Maize can also be replaced by rice or other ingredients (bv. Starch, Quinoa,
Cassave etc.) depending on what an area has to offer. Next to the fact that
Nuri~Complete® Concentrate handles a lower cost price, it has the additional
advantage that it stimulates the local economy because the ingredients
necessary have to be grown locally and the production causes employment.

Nutri~Complete® is a

SMP Food Supplements has donated
5000 kg of Nutri~Complete® to schools in Curaçao
in Februari
2003.
From this donation, a program is set up in which 2000 children are
supplied with a rich school meal every day for three months at the cost
of 10 eurocent per child per day. With this donation we want to show
that school food programs are an easy way to invest in a better future,
and thus in a better economy of a country or area. Children who get a
cup of Nutri~Complete® on school every day are more motivated than
children with an empty stomach. Negotiations with the government of
Curaçao are being held at the moment in order to set up a continuous
school food program. |
